“Trillium House”-a luxury brand condominium-hotel to open in the new Village

Town of the Blue Mountains, September 13, 2003 - Intrawest today announced plans to build a flagship hotel at The Village at Blue Mountain to be named Trillium House.

“Typically, the arrival of a flagship hotel signifies destination status for a resort,” says Debbie Lafave, Director of Sales and Marketing for The Village at Blue Mountain. “As the first, and only, luxury status hotel in the entire Georgian Bay region, the unveiling of Trillium House is a much-anticipated event among Intrawest homeowners, locals and potential vacation guests to the area.”

Trillium House, with its red roofs, dark brown wood siding, white railings, framed towers and gabled dormers, will be reminiscent of the grand lakeside lodges of Muskoka. The hotel will be situated at the base of the Blue Mountain ski hills and will border the new one-hectare Mill Pond to give Trillium House a unique ski-in ski-out, lakeside position.

The existing homeowners, as part of their ‘front-of-the-line’ privileges, had the first opportunity to view these flagship plans. Although the brand of the hotel is still to be released by Intrawest, it is certain that the level of partnership will meet the high expectations already founded by the grand hotels at Whistler, Tremblant and Intrawest villages worldwide.

Trillium House will join the 187-suite Grand Georgian that opened at The Village at Blue Mountain in December 2001; Weider Lodge, a 91-suite condominium-lodge completed in summer 2002 and Seasons at Blue, of which Phase I opened in June of 2003. Phase II will welcome guests in spring 2004. The Village at Blue Mountain is a five-hectare, multi-million dollar ?? that began in 2001 and is scheduled for completion in 2010.
