February 14, 2006

Phase One to Feature 470 Condo-Hotel Units and Upscale Village

Orlando, FL - Intrawest Corporation (NYSE: IDR) (TSX: ITW) and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announced that they have signed an agreement to brand the first phase of The Village of Imagine as The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences.  Located across from the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences will be the area’s newest residential village condominiums providing luxury accommodations for both business and leisure travelers and easy access to the nation’s second largest convention center and the area’s renowned scenic, cultural and entertainment venues. Phase One, due to open in early 2008, will consist of 470 condominium suites and residences including the 256-unit Grand Imagine building that was released in December 2005.

“We are creating a lifestyle destination within central Florida that will attract people from around the world,” said Connie Wynne, regional vice president for Intrawest. “We chose Westin because of its internationally recognizable name and reputation for outstanding hospitality experiences.”

“We are very proud to be partnering with Intrawest on our fourth location after The Westin Trillium House at Blue Mountain, Le Westin Resort & Spa at Tremblant and the soon-to-open Westin Monache at Mammoth Mountain,” said Sue Brush, senior vice president, Westin Hotels & Resorts.  “Westin’s new brand positioning is centered on Renewal –  offering our guests the services, products and amenities that will help them rejuvenate, renew and restore their mind, body and spirit. We look forward to pampering travelers visiting central Florida so they will feel better when they check out than when they checked in.”

Phase One of The Village of Imagine will consist of suites, and one and two bedroom residences. All two bedroom residences will be equipped with fully appointed kitchens. Guests of The Westin Imagine Orlando Residences will enjoy all of the signature services and amenities that travelers have come to expect of Westin, including Westin’s Heavenly Bed® and Heavenly Bath® and WestinWORKOUT® Powered by Reebok fitness facility. The Westin Imagine Orlando will also be part of the main Village corridor that will provide guests with upscale dining, shopping, swimming pools and an event lawn area designated for nightly activities.
