Hard Rock Hotel San Diego Celebrates Record Breaking Sales of Condo-Hotels

San Diego, CA – Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, the city’s first branded condo-hotel, sold out its final release of 120 suites in just five hours at its December 12th Selection Event. The first release of 300 suites sold out in just nine hours back on May 18th, 2006. In total, 420 suites were sold by Playground Destination Inc, the licensed broker who managed the sales and marketing campaign over the past 12 months.
“This was a tremendous success for everyone involved, and our 420 Owners now own what will become the hottest destination in San Diego,” said Greg Casserly, president of Tarsadia Hotels.
Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is currently under construction and scheduled to open late summer 2007. The hotel will include 243 studio suites, 159 one-bedroom suites and 18 Rock Star suites. It will also feature two Rande Gerber bars, a Nobu signature restaurant, live music venue, urban spa, retail along Fifth Avenue and a pool deck that runs nearly the entire city block.

To deliver Hard Rock’s unique vibe throughout the property, its operators have tapped the highly successful general manager Robert Todak, who has run many of the hottest, most successful hotels in the nation, including The Delano in Miami and Hard Rock Hotel Chicago. This unique property atmosphere, combined with its location at the entrance to the Gaslamp Quarter and the continued resurgence of the downtown core, attracted the record number of interested purchasers and sales.
